The 2013 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting was concluded in Colombo, Sri Lanka on November 17, 2013. As the only official bus supplier for the conference, Yutong buses have been recognized by the Sri Lankan government and military leaders with the superior product quality and professional service capability.

To ensure the transportation work of the conference, the Sri Lankan government started the vehicle selection early in 2011. On November 1, 100 Yutong ZK6930 buses were delivered to Sri Lanka. These buses were mainly used to transport the government officials, media people and trade groups who attended the conference.

A service team of 12 people consisting of chassis engineers, electrical engineers, experts of air conditioners and engines and other technicians were available at the site to follow the operation of buses during the conference. In addition, at the invitation of the Sri Lankan Government, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce has organized a delegation consisting of 45 Chinese enterprises to attend the Trade, Investment and Tourism Expo held during the conference. And Yutong, on behalf of China’s bus industry, also attended the Expo.

The outstanding performance of Yutong during the conference and Expo were also recognized by Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapakse and other government officials as well as Wu Jianghao, China Ambassador to Sri Lanka.
